At Devoted Dentistry we offer two options to help alleviate dental anxiety, oral sedation and IV conscious sedation. You can discuss these options with Dr. Dillingham to determine the best option for you based on your needs and the type of dental care you will be receiving.
Oral Sedation
IV Sedation
Patients who receive IV conscious sedation will have medication administered through an IV to achieve a sedated, relaxed state during their procedure. Sedated patients are continuously monitored to insure their safety while sedated. After having IV conscious sedation, patients will go home and rest for the remainder of the day. As with oral sedation, patients who receive IV conscious sedation will need transportation to and from the dental appointment, and cannot drive, make important decisions, or do anything requiring their responsibility for 24 hours.
